adult first aid certificate course
1. Objectives
  a. To introduce principles of First Aid in 30 hours
  b. To recognise and practise First Aid treatment including CPR techniques
  c. To provide hands-on practice for First Aid treatment at special circumstance
         
2. Charges
  a. Individual Application
    - HK$240 per candidate (including equipment maintenance fee and practical demonstration DVD) with class size from 20 to 30
  b. Government/Voluntary Organization
    - HK$240 per candidate (including equipment maintenance fee and practical demonstration DVD) with class size from 20 to 30
  c. Corporate Firm
    - HK$7,200 per class (including equipment maintenance fee and practical demonstration DVD) with class size from 20 to 30
  d. For course/examination conducted outside Hong Kong, a subsistence allowance of HK$500/day for each Lecturer and/or Examiner will be charged
  e. Examination may be conducted at specified time/date/venue. An extra fee of HK$1,000 will be charged.
  f. First Aid Course Manual (Chinese Edition) - HK$80/book
  g. First Aid Manual (English Edition) - HK$210/book (price may change due to exchange rate)
  h. Bandages Pack - HK$38/pack
  i. Resusci Face Shield Keyring (optional)- HK$36/pack
  j. Disposable Face Shield - HK$2.5/pc. (For training + examination use)(optional)
  k. Issuance of certificate (after announcement of examination result) is charged at HK$ 50/copy

  k. Injuries to Muscles, Ligaments & Joints
  l. The Nervous System & Unconsciousness
  m. Burns & Scalds
  n. Poisoning
  o. Procedure at Road Accidents
  p. Handling & Transportation of Injured Person
         
4. Course Duration
 
30 hours (usually 3 hours/session/week for 10 sessions or 4/5 full days etc.)
         
5. Medium of Instruction
  Cantonese/ English
         
6. Examination
  a. Candidates attending less than 80% of the lectures will not be eligible for examination. Each candidate must be examined in the following subjects :
    - Theory of First Aid
    - Bandaging Technique
    - Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation
  b. Candidates, who failed in either one part of the Examination, can apply for the supplementary examination for the failed subject within 3 months from the date of the result announcement. Failures in two or three subjects are not eligible to sit for the supplementary examination.
  c. The result announcement date will be made known to the candidates during the examination. Candidates can check examination results through the Association counter, or through our enquiry hotline on 2524 4888, using their preset caller ID number(s). Candidates will not be informed individually of the examination results.
         
7. Certificate
  a. Candidates who passed the examination will be awarded the First Aid Certificate recognized by the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region which is valid for three years. For re-certification, candidates should take a refresher course/ re-examination before the expiry of the certificate.
  b. Certificates are ready for collection during office hours at the Association counter immediately after the announcement of examination result and should be collected within 3 months. Copy of Identity Card of the candidates must be shown upon collection of First Aid Certificate by friends or relatives.
  c. The organizer or his/her delegate must bring alone the original copy of the result slip to the Assoication counter during office hours for collection of all certificates.
         
8. Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Course
  Practicing Nursing staff who participated in First Aid Certificate Course can be awarded with 16 CNE points.
         
Remarks:
 
  • Chinese courses are held every two months and English courses are organised basing on the number of applicants
  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice
  • For individual application, please check Course Timetable (Full Day or Evening) and complete Individual Application Form (AFI)
  • For group application, please complete Group Application Form (AFII)
  • Class will be cancelled if the Black Rainstorm Warning/Typhoon Signed No.8 or above is hoisted, and class will be resumed when the signal is lowered 4 hours before class commencement
